BESPOKE: ARTISAN CHOCOLATE IN HARLEM
One of the great things about working with Sugar Hill Market is discovering the small artisan businesses uptown that usually get little press from other media outlets. We especially enjoyed meeting the three Maloney Brothers who started up Sol Cacao and made a debut at the market this past Sunday. The chocolates only have cacao directly purchased from farmers in Madagascar or Peru and one other ingredient which is sugar. This almost pure chocolate starts with the expected bitter flavor that cacao is known for but then become more complex with fruity finishes. SHM will be back 2 Sundays from now on March 15th and folks can actually meet the artisans to get first hand information on what they do best: LINK
