INTRODUCING: ELEVATED RESTORATION ON BROADWAY

After several years of construction, the restoration of the elevated 125th Street subway line on Broadway looks like it is finishing up finally.  The main landmark viaduct frame had been painted 5 years ago in shade of green but the brickwork on the north and south end of the raised tracks took a bit longer.  The top photo shows all of the decades of accumulated soot that has darken the century old architecture but today everything looks brand new.  A photo taken a week ago reveals that everything now looks brand new and now one can even tell that red bricks were part of the original plan.

  1. I hope they restore the lamp posts at the W. 122 end of the elevated that have been missing for some time.
