INTRODUCING: DOG DAYS AT THE WALLACE

Familiar but upgraded comfort food is a big trend in the city and At the Wallace in Hamilton Heights has some of the best pub grub to found uptown.  We stopped by the sister establishment of Harlem Public on Broadway just below 149th Street to check out the hot dog offerings yesterday and our inner child could not have been happier.   For $6 dollars each, one can get a high quality dog served similar to a breakfast sandwich with a fried egg, bacon and cheddar or a Mexican inspired version with cilantro, corn along with a sprinkle of queso cotija.  There is also a Philly steak topped option for those who want something more robust but we probably would suggest to basically order just two and a side of waffle fries on an outing for those with a moderate appetite.

As can be seen from the above menu, well wishers can also get various grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup also during the course of the evening.  Doors open at 5:00PM and so this is the perfect spot to get a casual bite after work that is not too complicated.
