DWELL: ALEX TREBEK BUYS HARLEM TOWNHOUSE
The New York Post confirms that television gameshow host Alex Trebek has purchased a townhouse in Central Harlem for $1.92 million. As we have reported earlier on in the year, Mr. Trebek's son Matthew is planning to open a restaurant nearby and the young entrepreneur's famous father has helped things along by purchasing a home close to the new business. What the Post story has wrong is that Number 310 West 140th Street is not in the Strivers Row Historic District since that pretty much entails 138th and 139th Street one avenue east but apparently the broker listing tried to sell it as such. For more details on the new Trebek restaurant in Hamilton Heights, check out our past post: LINK
