DWELL: 399 MANHATTAN AVENUE RETURNS

After an estate sale a year ago, Number 399 Manhattan Avenue just north of 116th Street has now been restored and is up on the market for $3.5 million.  Some original details like the fireplace mantles are still intact within the 2-family home but everything else is pretty much sheet rock and exposed bricks.  The baths and kitchens are done in a contemporary fashion which might have been more successful with just straightforward subway tile since the glass variation is looking a little outdated to our eye already.  With that said, the location is the big seller here and larger houses on Manhattan Avenue have been setting records for South Harlem in the past year. Subway stations, Morningside Park and the bustling FDB corridor is just an avenue over.  More on the broker site: LINK
