REMEMBER: 125TH AND 7TH CIRCA 1950
An vintage magazine print from around 1950 shows a rare color photo of old 125th Street at the corner of 7th Avenue looking west. Once can see the Apollo and the Victoria theaters toward the left and also The Harlem Opera House during its last decade on the boulevard before the entire building was demolished. Out of the three cultural institutions, only the Apollo has been restored and the Victory still lies dormant today waiting for a developer to start up an adaptive reuse project years in the making: LINK
