REVIVE: NEW CORNICE AT 260 WEST 132ND
When renovations started on the shell with the missing cornice at 260 West 132nd Street started, we just assumed the top part of the building would not be finished correctly but have now been proven wrong. Work on the facade of the brownstone shell just east of 8th Avenue had started earlier in the season but now one can see that a replicated cornice is currently being installed. This 2-family home is one of last abandoned buildings on the block to be fixed up and it looks like those in charge are planning to restore everything back to the original architectural vision. This is actually the only address missing a cornice on the entire block so this attention to detail will definitely give more curb appeal the the immediate neighborhood in Central Harlem.
