INTRODUCING: JAZZ MUSEUM FINDS NEW HOME
Over the past few years, the National Jazz Museum located on the east side has been trying to find a new home and now has finally signed a lease. Stalled developments sites on 125th Street such as the Victoria Theatre or Mart 125 have all been mentioned in the past but now one of the newer buildings in Central Harlem has been selected. The commercial space of the development called Uptown58 at 58 West 129th Street by Lenox Avenue will now be the home for Harlem's only jazz history establishment for up to the next 10 years. Construction will begin in the coming weeks and an end of the year opening could happen if all goes as planned. Uptown58 has completely sold out of condo apartments but the commercial space is still a sponsor unit and is currently up for sale for interested investors. More details can be found on the official building website: LINK
