REVIVE: RESTORATION AT THE VIADUCT
There is a lot of work going over at the 12th Avenue Viaduct in Manhattanville and those floating platforms might just be for protective purposes. A sign posted up on the site by 125th Street now states that a protective coating is being to prevent corrosion of the steel parts. Quite a bit of car traffic can be found below on a day to day bases so it would make sense to take all precautions necessary during this monumental process. Former reports indicated that lights have been planned to illuminate the arches but it is unclear if that design element will be arriving anytime soon: LINK
