EAT: PREVIEW OF CHOPPED PARSLEY ON 146TH

The new Japanese eatery called Chopped Parsley at 500 West 146th Street will have its grand opening this coming Wednesday.  We walked by the storefront just west of Amsterdam Avenue in Hamilton Heights a couple of days back and noticed that everything was already set up inside.  Additional details after the jump.
This 20-seat sushi spot with a takeout counter has the cozy mom and pop feel missing from a lot of Asian restaurants uptown which will make diners want to sit around a bit longer. Yumika Parsley is the owner and mentioned that the space is basically a cafe for coffee or tea with quick bites made to order.  Wood floors, tables and wainscoting balances out the antique finished walls painted in a mint green hue with charming framed artwork all about.   Based on what we saw of the menu, it appears to be a mostly a maki roll and salad setup but nevertheless will be a refreshing healthy alternative to dining in the Heights.  Chopped Parsley is actually in soft opening mode now and doors have been open for lunch along with dinner service since Friday.
