DWELL: 104 EDGECOMBE CONDO IN CONTRACT

Developers are now restoring brownstones into condo units and the ones that do the right type of renovations seem to be selling quickly.  A new 3-bedroom unit at 104 Edgecombe by 139th Street has been on the market for just 2 weeks and now has a contract out based on the asking of $1.4 million.  This townhouse on a quiet block in Central Harlem was gut renovated last year but important original details have been added back along with mixed modern finishes that pair well with the interior.  Herringbone floors, marble in the bath and fixtures from Restoration Hardware might all be new additions but the overall look fits in with the history of the building.  A laundry room and backyard probably also helped moved this sale along quickly.  more photos on Streeteasy: LINK
