LISTEN: THE NATIONAL JAZZ MUSEUM IN HARLEM
The National Jazz Museum in Harlem looks like it is just about ready to open up at the new construction Uptown 58 right next to Lenox Coffee on 129th Street. A Bespoke tip came in with a photo showing some signage in the commercial space set aside for a community organization. This Harlem institution was originally at a an address with poor visibility and foot traffic on the east side so being just around the corner from Lenox Avenue will probably be a good fit when doors open in a month or so. Previous attempts to get NJM into some of the newer developments on 125th Street have since failed because those aforementioned proposals for community space have not come about after several years of back and forth planning.
