REVIVE: ST. THOMAS COMMUNITY SPACE
The former St. Thomas Catholic church on 118th by St. Nicholas Avenue has new signage up announcing that work on the community space will come about in the coming months. Permits are up on the plywood but there is no mention of the condo plans for the back of the location which is just one big empty lot now. We have been inside in the past and the interior is one of the most extraordinary ones to be found uptown so formal banquets, weddings, festivals, concerts or political events would really do well here. So much community space has been designated in the newer constructions uptown which often tear down historic buildings in order to rise up. St. Thomas will provide something that has a little bit more of the traditional grandeur for those looking for a special site which a newer space is often lacking. For more on these condo plans, check out our past post: LINK

Does anyone know what company will be managing the space?
