DWELL: 259 WEST 138TH STREET TOWNHOUSE
Another Strivers Row house at 259 West 138th Street is now up on the market for just under $2 million which might be a great deal if the 2-family did not need a lot of work. The good news is that all of the original details such as the moldings and stairwells appear to be intact but unsightly sprinkler systems are in place and the floors do not look to be in good condition. At least the property is vacant and a renovator with a little experience could probably convert this into a nice single-family if they know how to manage all the necessary paperwork involved for a conversion. With all that said, this unique landmark neighborhood in Central Harlem have private garages out back of each home and are ideal for those who are car owners. More on Streeteasy: LINK
