One of the bigger contracts in the past quarter is out on the 2-unit modernist townhouse at 230 West 112th Street just a couple of blocks north from Central Park going for $3.5 million. It all has an 80s look to it but the location near one of the city's greatest outdoor spaces is probably the selling point here. Absolutely awful on this block! There should be a law against such monstrosity mid-block -- another reason for landmarking and protection of Harlem's architectural and historic fabric on residential blocks.
