REMEMBER: A SIDE STREET SCHOOLHOUSE CIRCA 1920

Who can guess the location of this sides street schoolhouse in Central Harlem from a photo taken back in 1920?  There are no actually visual clues here but those who know the blocks by Lenox Avenue will remember a huge parking lot on one of the streets above 125th Street which was eventually sold for development a few years ago.  A new construction now stands on the substantial parcel of land which is now part of the affordable housing in the area.  Archival photo courtesy NYPL

ANSWER: West 128th Street between Lenox and 7th Avenue which is the location of The Dempsey apartments built back in 2011: LINK
