BESPOKE: A MURAL ON WEST 145TH STREET

We have been admiring the lovely murals that have been painted in West Harlem over the past few years but it appears not everyone is so appreciative these days.  As mentioned last week, the beautiful Audubon murals in the Heights have been recently vandalized with copper graffiti and now it looks like the Mayor of Harlem on 145th Street has found a similar fate
This mural honoring jazz drummer Greg Bandy appeared a few years ago and added a nice touch to a sealed decorative window on a building just east of Amsterdam. We noticed this past week that the entire image had been spray pained over in the same medium as the aforementioned desecration so it probably is just the same clueless individual responsible.  This is why we just can't have nice things in the city unfortunately.
