Number 401 West 147th Street arrived on the market last fall and now has contract out based on the asking of $1.7 million. This abandoned 16.75-foot-wide landmark home looks like it needs a lot of work but the location on Sugar Hill is right by the north entrance of the express trains which gets one to midtown in just over 15 minutes. I think someone got a pretty good deal. It's a lovely block. The house may be narrow, but it looks as if the original woodwork is still in place. I hope they don't rip it all out.
