SEE: CROCHET ART IN EAST HARLEM
East Harlem has a lot of public art in the form of murals but one creative knitter has brought along something different to the mix. A schoolyard fence on Lexington Avenue by East 105th Street now has large yarn flowers adding a little color into the mix on the fences and have lasted for quite some time. The East Harlem yarn bomber known as Naomi RAG is behind all of the crocheted creations and has works throughout El Barrio and has even knitted a sock around a tree. A lot is really starting to happen on the east side as of late and we expect to see even more from the creative community in the months to come.
