EAT: BREAKFAST AT HARLEM SHAKE
When Harlem Shake first opened Lenox by 124th Street, many thought it was just a burger joint similar to Shake Shack but the eatery with a 50s vibe has really become the local diner of the Mount Morris Park neighborhood. One can get a really good breakfast before noon on any given day and a brunch offering is even served on the weekends. There are also salads, patty melts, shakes, ice cream sundaes, hotdogs and fries on the menu so everything is pretty much a distillation of what makes a diner great. Local families, couples on dates, tourists and construction workers from the Whole Foods site across the street can be found on any given day which makes Harlem Shake an uptown original. The concept has been doing well in the past few years and a second location in East Harlem will opening soon on 2nd Avenue: LINK

Thank you for the love! And, just to add to the information, we would like the public to know that all eggs and dairy used at Harlem Shake are certified organic. We also use a delicious local brand of coffee, Caffe Ammi founded by an East Harlem family and running out of East Harlem for 80 years. So, we are all about healthy and happy neighborhood!
