DWELL: 221 WEST 137TH STREET REDUCED

Last summer, the abandoned shell at 221 West 137th Street went up on the market for $2.4 million but eventually switched brokers earlier on this year and with a new asking of $2.4 million.  By the time April ended another price chop came about and $1.795 million might just move things along this time around.  This 18-foot wide brownstone  is apparently in a single-family layout so starting up on renovations would be much easier than if it were an SRO building.  The block located between 7th and 8th Avenue is also one of the more architecturally intact ones in Central Harlem and not too far from the trains on 135th Street.
