Number 226 West 132nd Street probably has been off and on the market since we can remember but finally a restoration is at hand for the former SRO located between 7th and 8th Avenue. The townhouse actually sold back in 2014 for
$1.15 million and permits have been approved in the past months to convert the layout back into a single-family home. Apparently major foundation work was part of the issue but now things are progressing along with new windows added on in recent weeks. It will take about $500K to get everything restored again and the gut renovated house will probably end up on the market again by next year.
