REMEMBER: BENNY CARTER'S CASHMERE COAT AT NJMH

Tuesday, September 13th,  7:00PM, Harlem: Four Walls-Benny Carter's Cashemere Coat at the National Jazz Museum in Harlem,  58 West 129th Street Harlem just east of Lenox Avenue, $10.00 suggested donation.  Before breaking the color line in 1940s Hollywood, Benny Carter was a king in the Harlem music scene. Carter biographer/producer Ed Berger will join NJMH as the museum traces Carter’s path from ballrooms and clubs to his band’s opening the Apollo Theater in 1934.
