DWELL: RECORD CONTRACT AT 469 WEST 143RD
Number 469 West 143rd Street arrived on the market in July for $4.795 million and the gut renovated limestone now has a contract out. If the townhouse closes for asking price, than the address will be the second biggest sale in Harlem within the brownstone market. As mentioned, previously, this reportedly 18-foot-wide limestone building appears to be the work of a local developer who has been restoring brownstones in the area with higher end modern upgrades while still keeping moldings and fireplaces in place. There is also the desirable single-family layout and the location within the Hamilton Heights historic district is also a short walk to the express trains on 145th Street.
