INTRODUCING: STARBUCKS IN MANHATTANVILLE
All of the neighborhood rumors have turned out to be true about the construction by the 125th Street elevated trains station on Broadway. We mentioned that one of the largest national chains was reportedly investing in this part of West Harlem by the new Columbia University campus in Manhattanville and signage just went up this morning for Starbucks. The interior looks like it is about 80 percent complete at this point in time so an early December opening looks like a possibility. There are already 4 Starbucks in Central Harlem so the big deal here is that this address faces some massive public housing projects which would have been considered a lesser than ideal location just a few years back.

There used to be a Starbucks on 137th and Broadway way back when but closed as it was not a fit at the time
