New York City fashion house Coach celebrated their 75th anniversary this past week with a tribute to youthful American pop culture and we could not help but notice the varsity jacket that made a shout out to Manhattan's northern brownstone neighborhood.   Brooklyn has become so commercial that it is easy to get apparel from mass chains with that boroughs embellished on them so designer have moved on to something a bit more edgier.   This particular runway presentation was also about diversity with black, white, hispanic, asian and even a new trans model represented in the show which is pretty much indicative of the uptown mix that is happening these days.  Harlem has actually alway had a rich history and did not need to fabricate an identity to be hip so we definitely see more attention being brought about uptown in the future as far as the fashion set is concerned.  Check out the full collection on WWD: LINK
