INTRODUCING: ROCK CLIMBING IN MANHATTANVILLE

After checking out the Winick commercial retail website more thoroughly this week, we noticed that one of the storefronts in the new Columbia University building in Manhattanville at the corner of Broadway and 129th Street has already been leased.   The south corner section by the avenue will eventually have Steep Rock Bouldering joining in the education complex which apparently has fulfilled the commitment to have commercial spaces to engage the community.  Otherwise these new towers would have been isolated entities just meant for students which is not really that ideal since the campus was built through eminent domain.  There will also eventually be a grab-and-go type of establishment at the other available spot and a restaurant on the north end if all goes to plan.  More details on the Winick site: LINK
