INTRODUCING: WHOLE FOODS OPENS IN HARLEM
Harlem Bespoke: Today is the big day the Whole Foods debuted in Harlem at the Corner of 125th Street and Lenox Avenue. We dropped by just a little after 9:15 this morning and the new supermarket was packed to the rafters with local shoppers.
What is more convenient about this particular location of the popular grocer is that the coffee, bakery and prepared food stations are relatively close to the entrance so commuters can easily drop in to pick something up before heading down to the subway station out front. Another point to consider is that some of the daily specials are really affordable for the quality of the goods as can be seen by the sign posted out front. Whole Foods has a reputation of being on the pricier side but the deals here along with the very affordable 365 in-house brand will definitely be well received in the neighborhood. We actually could not go to the lower level this morning because the lines were so long to go down the escalator but will surely be back when things slow down a bit later in the week.
