SHOP: SALES AT HARLEM WHOLE FOODS
Harlem Bespoke: We finally got to actually shop at the new Whole Foods on Lenox by the corner of 125th Street on Saturday and the experience was a lot more smooth than the frenetic opening day. The store was moderately busy at around 7:30 PM but we noticed that that there were many sale prices mixed in with the more higher priced specialty items.
Sales such as lean ground beef for $3.99 a pound or lobsters tales for $5.00 were all marked with bright yellow signage that seemed to be a standard throughout the store. All of the Whole Foods quality was still apparent and it appears that the new location is really making an effort to be affordable to a wider range of shoppers in the neighborhood. With that said, one can still find the pricier, hard-to-find offerings that are worth the splurge so there is something for everyone. On a final note, the staff was all very accommodating and checkout was very swift at the end of the our first outing. Check out more on the opening of the Whole Foods in our past post: LINK
