RENT: MILLENNIALS IN HARLEM 2017
How much are millennials paying for a room share in Harlem? An article in DNAinfo earlier this year points out that around $950 a month was the average per roommate in East Harlem and that the neighborhood was one of the most sought after for those 20 to 36 years old. Compared to lower Manhattan where room rentals average at $1,603 a month, this is a pretty solid deal but those who want cheaper rents have also been going to the West Bronx. Astoria in Queens is apparently the most sought after neighborhood but the rent at $1,105 a month is just a bit higher than uptown's east side: LINK
