Harlem Bespoke: The Cecil had shut down earlier in the summer but now it appears that things are moving along for the next incarnation of the eatery located at the corner of 118th Street.
We walked by this section of St. Nicholas Avenue in the past week and noticed quite a bit of construction going on within. The windows were covered up with paper but an open door thankfully revealed a gut-renovation was taking place. In our opinion, a dynamic bar area was missing at the old location so this might just come about in the near future. Signage has also been installed for the new steakhouse which will not have Chef Joseph Johnson at the helm. More details can be found in our past post:
