Harlem Bespoke: Developers have mostly been investing in rental buildings or affordable housing units in East Harlem but 1399 Park Avenue might just change things going forward. This new construction overlooking the train tracks by 103rd Street already has
a contract out for a $2.4 million apartment before things have even finished up. Even though there are views of nearby Central Park, much of this section of the avenue is also surrounded by public housing but that apparently does not seem to matter these days in the housing. The subway stop at Lexington Avenue is only a block east and there has been a lot of commercial activity along that corridor in the past 5 years so the area might really be taking off as far as real estate goes.
