BEST NEW ITALIAN RESTAURANT 2017: UNCLE TONY'S
Harlem Bespoke: The most notable new Italian spot to open uptown this year is the casual takeout pizzeria next door to Fumo on Amsterdam at 139th Street which was our top pick from last year. Uncle Tony's is the sister slice joint that serves fresh baked pizzas with artisanal combinations such as mozzarella pesto, creamy vodka sauce, mushroom with truffle oil or classic pepperoni. We especially like the thin crust offerings but thick crust lovers will also appreciate some of the other options on the menu. Harlem already has a lot of great wood or brick oven alternatives but this little pie shop is one of at the first to come up with individual artisanal slices for those on the go. More on Uncle Tony's can be found in our past post: LINK
