INTRODUCING: THE LONG GALLERY

Harlem Bespoke:  The downtown art scene has been moving uptown in recent years but the Long Gallery on Adam Clayton Powell by 124th Street has been the local exhibit space for emerging talent for several years now.  We were able to drop by this past weekend to check out the new Out of Line  exhibit featuring works from Michael Chuapoco, Billy Ray Morgan, Zachary Richardson and Kennedy Yanko.

Lewis Long who founded the gallery is a Harlem local who saw the need for a curator that focuses on from a diverse point of view which is often missing from the art scene further downtown.  The current showcases furniture design, manipulated industrial materials and performance art which goes live every Saturday for the next 3 weeks. This intimate space is open Saturday and Sunday from 12 Noon to 6:00PM or call 646.559.8368 to make an appointment. www.long.gallery
