LISTEN: BRANDEE YOUNGER AT NATIONAL JAZZ MUSUEM
Tuesday, March 20th, 7:00PM, Brandee Younger concert at the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, 58 West 129th Street, just east of Lenox. Hip-Hop and Jazz: A Crossroads of Chance curated by harpist Brandee Younger, a leading voice on the life and music of both Alice Coltrane and Dorothy Ashby.
In addition to her work in classical and jazz, Younger, whose first major recording was on a Bad Boy Records artists’ album in 2006, has made hip-hop a major part of her career.
This evening will include a live performance by Brandee Younger and her band focusing on the music of harpist Dorothy Ashby and artist herself. More details and tickets on the NJMH site: LINK
