Langston Hughes Poetry Slam at
the Schomburg, 515 Lenox at the corner of 135th Street. First Fridays at the Schomburg returns every month with a new theme for end of the week festivities. Come celebrate and honor the life of the legendary poet in the historic Langston Hughes Lobby, where his ashes are interred. Bring your best poetry to share during the open mic sessions on the cosmogram and dance the night away to curated beats by DJ IRS. More details can be found on the Schomburg site:
