ARCHITECTURE: FACADE REVEAL AT 288 LENOX

Harlem Bespoke:  It appears that the former site of Lenox Lounge at 288 Lenox Avenue is finally finishing up and the facade finishes have now been revealed.  An original rendering had an all glass building with a modern cornice set up at the location just south of 125th Street but what now has arrived appears to be less grand in its architectural details.  The office space windows at the top floors are smaller than originally designed and the look of the upper floors are clinical at best.  We would have preferred a completely restored Lenox Lounge or at least the first design proposal for the new construction.  Check out our past post to see what might have been: LINK
