Harlem Bespoke: Construction started on an empty lot at 847 St. Nicholas Avenue by 152nd Street back in Fall 2017 and now things appear to almost be complete. The above photo was taken in September but we walked by the new development this week and were able to take a snapshot of the fully revealed facade.
Everything is pretty contemporary out front but the brickwork color actually matches the neighboring building down to the striped detail on the lower levers. There is also a somewhat modern cornice up top so the developers at least made an effort to work with the historic surroundings. This was reportedly an affordable housing building with 39 apartments but we have not seen the lottery listing as of yet. Check out the original design rendering in our past post: LINK
