Harlem Bespoke: Taking the bus uptown is sometimes the more relaxing public transportation option but some might notice that a few of them on the west side are for private use. Columbia University has a shuttle system for students and faculty that look like city buses but have the purple banner on the side along with the crown logo on up top. The digital screen above the drive also points out that this is not a city vehicle so those waiting to be picked up on Broadway should watch out for the telltale signs. Columbia has locations along the main boulevard in Morningside Heights, Manhattanville and Washington Heights so this all makes sense for an Ivy League Institution with a big endowment.
