CALLING ALL ARTISTS: SUBMISSION FOR ART WALK 2019
Call For Artists: Harlem Art Walk 2019. Visual artists living, working, or deeply rooted in East, Central, and West Harlem, from 96th St. on the east and up to 155th St. on the west, are invited to participate, either opening their studios to the public (if dedicated and accessible), or by participating in a range of lightly curated public exhibitions in a variety of community and pop-up venues. Target date Oct 12-14, 2019. Local artist interested in participating can visit the official website and follow the Artist Submission link: www.harlemartwalk.org
Harlem Art Walk will open the doors of artist studios, guide visitors around a far-flung network of gallery spaces in turn-of-the-last century townhouses, former breweries, tucked away in brownstones, and in major cultural institutions, along with special exhibitions in local venues and pop-up spaces featuring Harlem-based artists.
The first Harlem Art Walk will extend over the 3-day Columbus/Indigenous Peoples Day weekend and will range from river to river and from East 99th St. to West 148th. Visitors will have at their disposal a range of online and offline materials: maps (printed and mobile), website, newsletter, calendar, social media.
