Harlem Bespoke: Chaiwali on Lenox by 124th Street has been shuttered well over a year but some good news might be arriving in the near future. We walked by the eatery located within the garden level of historic brownstone in Mount Morris Park last week and the owner happened to be around to greet us. A quick chat revealed that all of the renovations had been complete at this point in time and it really now just a waiting game with the city on when inspections would be scheduled for final approval. This is sometimes unpredictable but a re-opening of Harlem's only contemporary Indian restaurant in the next couple of months appears to now be entirely reasonable.
