SHOP: PREVIEW OF FIELDTRIP ON LENOX

Harlem Bespoke: A Bespoke reader mentioned they walked by the Field Trip storefront on Lenox last week and was able to get a quick peek inside the yet-to-open eatery headed up by local celebrity chef Joseph Johnson.  Construction started up last fall but brown paper has still been up on the windows even though the address located just south of 116th Street has had the front facade finished for several weeks now.
The aforementioned tipster was able to get a quick photo of the over-the-counter menu and one can see that everything is pretty much in a casual takeout format. FieldTrip will specialize in global grain bowls which will feature the African and Asian flavors that Chef JJ is known for but presented in a more democratic dining experience.  We also noticed a few communal high tables within when the doors have been opened in the past and apparently Fieldtrip will debut in the next few days according to one of the workers present on site.  Check out our past post for news on this new restaurant arriving in Central Harlem: LINK
