ARCHITECTURE: RESTORATION AT THE VICTORIA

HarlemBespoke:  The tallest building in Central Harlem is currently finishing up on top of the historic Victoria Theater but many might be wondering when the actual local landmark will be proceeding with the restoration process.  This entire adaptive reuse development took a decade to come together and the end goal was to save part of 125th Street's history.

We noticed yesterday that the netting below the second level scaffolding had been removed and a coupe of construction workers could be seen in front of the theater columns which now appear to be getting a thorough cleaning.  A skim coat might have to be added to certain section or certain details replicated and in replaced in the coming weeks.  This all appears to be accelerating quite quickly at this point in time and a full reveal might come about by the end of the year.  More on the Victoria can be found in our past post: LINK
