READ: ROOFTOP BAR AT THE VICTORIA ON 125TH

Harlem Bespoke:  The New York Post revealed that Central Harlem's soon-to-be tallest tower will feature a rooftop restaurant with views of Central Park.  On the front end above the Victoria Theater site will be a 26-story Mariott Renaissance hotel with 210 rooms and the aforementioned scenic establishment which will be a first for uptowners since such a venue with elevated vistas currently does not exist.  Very affordable rentals will be part of the development on the 126th Street side and a commercial space will be set aside for a restaurant along with an actual theater venue within the restored historic Victoria Theater which has been shuttered for
almost three decades.
Aloft hotel close by on 8th Avenue by 124th Street had finished up in 2010 and the Mariott will only be the second hotel built in greater Harlem in about 85 years.  Hotel Theresa which is shown to the right in the lower photo was Harlem's original historic hospitality institution but somehow had been converted into office space by the 1970s.  More details in the Post: LINK
