EAT: A NEWER ITALIAN BISTRO ON 7TH AVENUE

Harlem Bespoke:  We took the above photo of 1890 Adam Clayton Powell  by 115th Street at the end of last year and a new Italian restaurant appeared on the spot but did not quite take off. A quick stroll by the address that used to be Cafe Dandy a couple of years ago reveals that another establishment has since set up shop at this 7th Avenue location.
Laura Osteria has now appeared with signage and a moniker a little more updated than the previous incarnation of the eatery space.  Osteria apparently is the Italian version of a bistro so things have just gotten a little bit more updated and the next-level classic look of the facade does add more curb appeal to the space.  We have not stopped by yet to grab a bite but having a little Italian spot on lower Adam Clayton Powell does seem like a good idea.  More on the aforementioned Cafe Dandy can be found in our past post: LINK
