Harlem Bespoke: We were invited over to check out the new sales offices of Eleven Hancock which is the new building going up on West 125th Street by Morningside Avenue and wondered what all of the excitement was about. It turns out that the showroom actually is set up like a museum gallery and individual exhibits on the neighborhood is mixed in with model showrooms throughout the substantial installation.
There are individual rooms with full display kitchens and bathrooms all beautifully laid out with photographs and literature about the location with views of Morningside Park. There is also a three dimensional map of Manhattan which has a light display which highlights the location. Architecture enthusiast will also appreciate the large scale renderings of the unique cantilever building which mixes classic industrial windows with a decidedly modern design. Buyers must be impressed since some of the higher priced apartments are already in contract even though the building is still under construction. Besides from the actually amenities of the new construction, another attractive detail is that the address is less than a block away from the express trains on 125th Street which gets to 59th Street in one stop.
