Harlem Bespoke: The fall weather was pretty amazing this Saturday and we made some new friends while walking past the verdant community garden on West 122nd Street located just west of Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard. Lots of vines still cover the gates this time a year but curious noises clued us in on a special sanctuary within the green space.
Three friendly fowls could be seen when peering through the foliage out front and they were also delighted to have visitors. Each chicken went up to the front fence to say hello but we did not have any seeds on hand to pass out as snacks to the friendly family. This is one of the well maintained gardens in the neighborhood and it was a pleasant surprise to discover such charming little piece of farm life on the block.
