Harlem Bespoke: A Bespoke reader just sent in today a photos of a fire that broke out at 217 West 123rd Street. Some might remember that this wood frame house located just west of 7th Avenue had been abandoned for some time and was set for demolition a couple of years ago to make way for a new 6-story building but not much has really happened since then.
Apparently now some sort of unforeseeable incident has occurred and everything might just be razed quickly because of structural issues in the coming weeks. DOB paperwork was last filed last week in conjunction with the new building and it is interesting that the property has not been demolished in the past couple of years after the initial demolition permits were previous filed:
