Harlem Bespoke: The storefront at 285 St. Nicholas Avenue has been vacant for almost 5 years but at least the plywood is down. As previously mentioned, this location is right by the express subway station and is a very visible corner space so what is the major issue? Higher commercial rents have kept many shops empty further downtown and this might just be a similar situation especially given that the vacancy has lasted this long. A cafe was reportedly moving into the space back in 2015 but that business deal apparently fell through:
