SHOP: FREE CHALLAH BREAD AT ZARO'S 125TH STREET
Harlem Bespoke: On Thursday, January 23rd, Zaro's is celebrating their recent opening at 1825 Park Avenue at 125th Street by giving away 125 Scallion & Fried Shallot Challahs (in collaboration with Win Son) and free coffee. The special challah is part of the collaboration series that launched in December with some of their favorite restaurants, culinary brands and personalities like Win Son, Sahadi's, Seed + Mill and Jacques Torres.and features a recipe from Win Son.
Zaro's Family Bakery was founded in the Bronx in 1927 by Joseph Zaro, a Jewish immigrant from Poland, and is currently helmed by his great-grandsons, Michael, Brian and Scott Zaro. For nearly a century, they have developed family recipes that represent their Jewish baking traditions, and currently have nearly a dozen standalone, certified Kosher bakeries throughout the greater New York City area.
